Re:infer was founded by machine learning researchers, engineers and entrepreneurs motivated by solving the very hard problem of getting machines to understand human communication.
Re:infer makes human conversations understandable at scale and actionable to machines. We make it easy for our users to create, manage and deploy state of the art machine learning algorithms against high volume streams of conversational data.
We’re a VC backed, early stage startup that’s growing very fast. New joiners have an opportunity to make a big impact, from a small team, to tackle a huge commercial problem.
What we are looking for?
Somebody who can take a leading role in helping us put powerful machine-learning capabilities in the hands of non-technical users. We're looking for an engineer at heart, but one with the confidence, vision and perception to distil complex requirements into deliverable features, and to sell these ideas to business-people and other developers. Our UI is necessarily complex and rapidly evolving, and we'd love to bring on board somebody to help us continue to refine and expand it in a well-considered way, from the code structure and tooling choices to the user experience. We're a company of developers who love writing code and learning new things, so anybody who feels the same would fit in well.
What you'd be doing
Working with our back-end and machine-learning engineers, salespeople and clients to determine the best ways to harness our ML platform to deliver a product that feels great to use. Leading new feature projects from design through development. Mentoring other developers and helping to introduce best practices and improving patterns and processes. However, this role would also involve at least 50% of the time writing and reviewing code in Typescript, with React, Redux, Immutable.js and Webpack.
Skills and experience
- Commercial experience of building complex UIs using modern front-end frameworks (ideally React).
- Experience communicating with REST APIs.
- Experience with any of the following is a bonus: Immutable.js, Docker, Redux, Webpack.
- Experience writing back-end code, particularly Python, is also a big bonus.
At Re:infer, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment. We believe fostering diversity and inclusion makes our team stronger, and makes our business the best it can be. We encourage applications from people of every background so we can continue building a team where everyone feels heard and valued.
